Sigh .. Excel somehow manages to be one of the smartest and dumbest things of all time! For that matter I think Windows also falls into the same category! Today is one of those days whee I truly wonder why I go through all the effort to make these lists! lol .. It figures the first day in months I actually go through most of the expiration names in advance, is the day where I forget to modify my coding (excel calculations). So I had to pretty much invent some magic to adjust everything after the fact. Sounds like it should be simple .. but Excel likes to think it’s smart and convert your data types using it’s own magic .. so I not only did I need to come up with my own magic .. but I needed magic beating magic! For those of you who have no clue what I’m talking about .. just be grateful (and on days like today I don’t hesitate to remind you all to please use the affiliate links below .. today I earned them! lol)

So it turns out today was a real stressful disaster as I forgot to adjust my formulas for Daylight savings time. I think I fixed the time for most if not all closeouts, but don’t take chances with the $5 closeouts (on their final day of closeout). Don’t wait to the last minute and be sure to grab them at least an hour before the time in my lists. That being said .. when you decide on getting a closeout domain, you should always buy them as soon as possible just in case somebody else also wants the same domain and gets it before you! VERY IMPORTANT: I forgot to alter my Excel coding to compensate for Daylight Savings Time. It’s too late to fix for today, so be aware that most (not all) auctions will be showing one hour earlier than they actually finish. Basically if you like a name, click on it to go to the actual auction page to get the correct auction end time!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I hadn’t worked in a few days so my knees were really calm. I managed to get ahead 1.5 days with the lists (like today, TONS more names the next 2 days at least).

TIMING NOTE: I’m also happy that Daylight Savings Time starts tomorrow. Because GoDaddy is based in the state of Arizona where they don’t switch for daylight savings time, everybody in the world who does have daylight savings time will get an extra hour (to sleep) before auctions start. BE CAREFUL .. if you live in a place where Daylight Savings Time starts at a different date, the auctions times listed below might be different for you tomorrow than it is today. At the moment all times I list are based on Eastern Time Zone (Montreal, New York, Miami).
